About Us
In 1975, Don Doleshal, the
inventor and developer of the “Pilecap System” started with an
underwater diving business that specializes in the inspection and repair
of pipelines throughout the United States. Mr. Doleshal was eventually
approached by his clients to undertake the problem of corrosion and
piling repair at their facilities. He began testing different methods of
reinforcement such as high tech underwater epoxy, which did not bond
well to the piling and the various tapes used would end up sagging or be
easily damaged. Don also banded a variety of plastic jackets around the
piling but this tended to only hide the problem. Ultimately, the leader
in underwater piling repair technology was formed.

Incorporated in 1993 and received the first patent on
July 13, 1993.

The
Pilecap System is the only procedure that can resection
piling with a new section and reload the structure to
provide 100% integrity. Patented couplers designed to
connect the new sections of piling in various ways have
been tested in the field and
certified.

Mr. Doleshal concluded that the key to
success is in the cleaning of the pile and developed the only
Automated Pile Cleaning System in the
world that requires no divers in the water and is completely safe to
operate. He has held a diving and engineering staff with over 30 years
of experience in the inspection and repair of piling, bridges, and piers
with the capability of
capturing underwater images in zero visibility.
