Underwater pile Inspection is one of Pilecap's service capabilities. Our diving and engineering staff have over 15 years of experience dealing with piling, bridge and pier inspections. We also employ certified Underwater Bridge Inspectors.

Focusing directly on piling allows us to streamline our operations. That gives you highly detailed inspection reports compiled by experts which confronts the real piling problems at hand.

Inspecting your piling underwater and in the splashzone can drastically reduce major replacements in the future. Pilecap can inspect piling made of many materials including wood, concrete, and steel.

Pilecap Underwater Inspections come in three basic packages...

Level I - General visual inspection to confirm as built condition and detect any severe damage.
Level II - Close-up visual inspection to detect surface defects normally obscured by marine growth. At least 10% of the pile will be cleaned at designated locations then inspected.
Level III - Highly detailed inspection to detect any hidden and beginning damage. Non-destructive tests such as increment boring and ultrasonics can be used.
